The Good and The Bad

Rome’s peace and prosperity depended on its leaders. There were many wonderful emperors who made wise decisions that improved the lives of the people in the empire. On the other hand there were terribly selfish rulers who thought of no one other them themselves.

Here is a chance to earn a renaissance card. List a single emperor, state whether they were good or bad, when they ruled, and evidence for your opinion. Follow my example.

Nero
Bad Ruler
Ruled from A.D. 37 to 41
- Vicious leader
- Murdered many
- Persecuted Christians
- Committed Suicide

Please note: Renaissance cards will not be issued for repeats…

Great job Conor! You earned the first R.C.

Where was Hadrian's wall located?

Hadrian's wall was located in Britain. It was the second of three fortifications built across Great Britain, the first being the Gask Ridge and the third being the Antonine Wall. All three were built to prevent military raids by the tribes of (what is now) Scotland to the north, to improve economic stability and provide peaceful conditions in the Roman province of Britannia to the south, and to physically mark the frontier of the Empire.

Man, that was a lot, can I have another Renaissance card?
